Condolence: I wanted to share a response that I received from Mike Gonyea. I was making a memorial garden in honor of my Mom and he wrote the following message.
A memorial garden should be composed of the things that made the person happy, things they really loved, and things they want to always have near them. I am glad you are making the memorial garden my friend. But if you want to see a better one, go look in the mirror. You are the garden your parents planted and tended with love. You are their legacy. And you know, I think they would be quite proud of how their garden is growing. Take care my friend. The pain you are now experiencing is growing pains. You are becoming more than you were. And don't be afraid to shed tears freely. All flowers need rain.
He always knows just what to say and I cant thank him enough for his kind words.
I just cant even find the words or express how I am feeling. Your loss has just left me broken and I am not sure how to go on without you. I went to call you yesterday afternoon as I do 5 or 6 times each day and I had to stop myself and realize you are not with me anymore. I know you are in my heart and soul forever but what I wouldn't give to hear your voice again.
I cant thank you enough for everything you have done for our family and for being the best Mom in the whole wide world. I hope I made you proud of me as I know I have made mistakes throughout the years but you always stood by me and supported me even when I was a brat growing up.
I hope you heard me the past few days and that I honored you with the things that I said and done. I was so blessed to be with you as you left this world to go home and be with God and Dad and all you family members. I am sure there greeted you with open arms, hugs, and kisses. I am just at a loss Mom without you. Your were my rock and my best friend but most of all you are my Mommy.
I will always be honored and blessed to hear how much I looked like you and if I can be half the women you were, I will be count my blessing over and over again.
Mom you know I have so much more to say to you but that is between you and I and I will talk with you everyday for the rest of my life. I will see you in the beauty that God has created her on earth and remember you always and forever. Until we meet again but as I said to you, your heart is mine and mine is yours forever and always.
