Born on April 7th, 1935 in Port Huron, Michigan daughter to Raymond L. Mathieson and Elvina V. Wasylk. Moving to Flint Michigan with her husband in 1954, they raised 5 children, Michael, Douglas, David, Don, and her only daughter, Michelle. She was very active in her children’s school functions and enjoyed raising them and watching them grow. She opened her heart and her home to many of her children’s friends whom she considered her additional family.
In 1994, Mary Lou and Roy moved to Oscoda, Michigan where she enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She was a member at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Oscoda Michigan and loved attending mass. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, and watching the birds in her back yard with her late husband on their porch swing. She loved anything and everything with lighthouses, hummingbirds, and shopping. Oh how she loved shopping.
Mary Lou recently moved to Fenton, Michigan to be closer to her family. Never wanting to leave her family, Mary Lou overcame many health issues throughout her lifetime. She fought a hard battle but God took her home to be at peace and to be with her beloved husband and family members that preceded her in death. God has gained an angel which we had the privilege and honor of calling her our Mother.
She leaves behind surviving family members whom she loved so dearly.
